ITFS 2018 is now open for submissions!

The 25th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film is going to take place from April 24 to 29, 2018. You would like to be a part of it and show your film to an international audience?

Animated films produced after October 1, 2016 can be now submitted to the following competition categories:

International Competition (International short film competition)
Young Animation (International student film competition)
Tricks for Kids – shorts and series (International competition for short films and TV series for children)
AniMovie (International feature-length film competition)

Submission deadline: December 1, 2017

The prize winners of the 24th ITFS

The 24th International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) ended on 7th May with a festive award ceremony. The program motto “Animation Without Borders” has confirmed itself: this year’s program with connections of animated films, games, music, as well as virtual and augmented reality, inspired the audience and industry. The motto also made it clear that animation across borders can tell stories that reach and touch people.

David O’Reilly as a guest at the GameZone

Larger and more varied than ever before: the GameZone takes place in the Stuttgarter Kunstgebäude at the Schlossplatz on 2,000 m² and offers a unique mixture of digital adventures, games convention and interactive exhibition. Discover the latest trends for PC, console and VR!

Recently confirmed: the Irish filmmaker and artist David O’Reilly. He is known for his distinctive 3D animation films. For his short films Please Say Something and The External World he has won numerous prizes. On the GameZone of the 24th ITFS, his computer game “Everything” will be presented.
