The current programme is a kind of greeting to the International Festival of Animated Film in Stuttgart by the World Animation Film Festival in Varna, whose 20th edition will be celebrated this year. It includes titles from both the glorious past of the Bulgarian animation school and its intriguing present. The films presented are proof both of the diversity of themes, techniques and genres, as well as of the continuity between the generations of authors, which is a prerequisite for a promising future in the development of this type of cinema in Bulgaria.
