Christine Schäfer has been working at Film- und Medienfestival gGmbH since 2018, managing film acquisition, print logistics, the ITFS Animation Tour, and the Online Animation Library.

She studied Visual Communication (2008–2011) at the Kunsthochschule Kassel, followed by a Directing degree in the Documentary Film Department at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (2011–2017). After completing her studies, she worked freelance as a directing and production assistant.
