Kathrin Stärk has been working in communications at Film- und Medienfestival gGmbH since 2023.

After a traineeship at a daily newspaper she studied International Business and Cultural Studies in Passau. For over 15 years, she has been active in Stuttgart’s independent dance and theatre scene as well as in the film industry. From 2014 to 2017, she was the editor-in-chief of the Stuttgart’s city magazine LIFT. Starting in 2018, she took charge of press and public relations at Theater Rampe, was part of the working group RAMPE 23, and focused intensively on topics such as power structures, racism, classism, and processes of inclusivity. For more than 20 years she has been working as a freelance writer, copywriter, and public relations consultant in different fields and media.
