BARBAPAPA SPECIAL
"Clickety Click—Barba Trick!” – With these words, the Barbapapa family can shift into any shape imaginable. The family members are just as friendly as they are wildly colourful in their normal, pear-shaped condition. The fantasy characters were initially devised for a series of children's books by Annette Tison and Talus Taylor in 1970. From 1974, the Barbapapas achieved cult status with a French-Japanese animated series based on the books, and have been popular ever since. Many of the 5-minute episodes deal with issues of a socio-critical nature such as environmental pollution, land consumption, traffic, or whaling, in a humorous way.
Look forward to several episodes of the first “Classics” season as well as an episode of the more recent season “Barbapapa Around the World”.
