Animation with a learning effect
In addition to the classic cinema screenings, the Tricks for Kids competition offers the opportunity to attend screenings especially for daycare groups and school classes.
The festival offers an age-appropriate film programme for children and young people aged 4 and over. We show educationally valuable short films from the Tricks for Kids competition that make you want to discover new things, explore foreign cultures and other realities and go through life with open eyes. There is also special accompanying material for teachers to follow up on what they have seen in class. If the filmmakers are guests at the festival, they will also come to the cinema and answer questions from their young audience.
Still not enough cinema? There is the option to attend a stop-motion workshop afterwards, where students can learn how animated films work and create their own stop-motion short films under the guidance of media educators.
