And the Trickstar goes to …

Prizes over 50,000 euros are awarded in the various competitions. We honour artistic animated films with the golden statues in the shape of our mascot Trixi.

Film Awards

All short and feature-length films in the competitions have the chance to be honoured. The prizes are awarded by international juries made up of outstanding personalities from the industry and our children’s jury. In the photos you can see the winners of 2024.

Grand Prix

International Competition

State of Baden-Württemberg and City of Stuttgart grand award for animated film. The winning film qualifies for the Academy Awards.

Student Competition

Award for the best student film, sponsored by LFK Baden-Württemberg and MFG Film Funding Baden-Württemberg.

Lotte Reiniger Promotion Award

Student Competition

Award for the best graduation film, sponsored by MFG Film Funding Baden-Württemberg.

AniMovie

Award for the best international animated feature-lenght film.

Trickstar Nature Award

Award for the best animated short film that deals with the topics of nature and the environment. Sponsored by Verband Region Stuttgart.

Award for the best animated children's short film

Tricks for Kids

The prize is awarded by the ITFS children's jury at the Tricks for Kids award ceremony.

Project Awards

We honour outstanding and innovative projects, business models, screenplays and games. The prizes will be awarded at the AniX Awards on Thursday, 8 May 2025.

German Animation Screenplay Award

Award for the best screenplay for a feature film, sponsored by Animation Media Creators Region Stuttgart (AMCRS).

German Animation Screenplay Award

Award for the best screenplay with the greatest international market potential, sponsored by Sola Media.

Animated Games Award Germany

Award for the best German animated game, sponsored by MFG Baden-Württemberg

Trickstar Business Award

Award for the best innovative business model for projects or companies from the animation industry, sponsored by the Verband Region Stuttgart
