Awards Ceremony

Six selected two-person teams develop an animated film live and within 48 hours. The competition begins Wednesday, May 1 at noon and ends Friday, May 3 at noon. The competition is open to students of animation at international film schools, freelance animators or animation producers not older than 30 years of age. All teams use the same given character (Trixi, the Festival’s mascot, or the award statue, the Trickstar), to tell a short story (30 seconds to 2 minutes) and in doing so demonstrate their own skills with regard to storytelling, graphic style and animation software.You can look over the artists’ shoulder while they work at Jugendhaus Mitte.The films and the award winners will be presented on Saturday, May 04 at 7:30 pm at the Open Air Cinema.Participants: Noura Kabbani, Louay Daoust, Libanon Lebanon // ZiYi Jin, ZiQian Zhao, China // Shalev Ben Elya, Micha Yisraeli, Israel // Mostafa Mahdy Fayez, Mayar Ahmed Soliman, Ägypten Egypt // Nguyen Duc Tri, Valentin Bolte, Deutschland Germany // Aya Assaf, Randa Gaber, Ägypten Egypt
