Best of Animation 3 – Bad Habits and Good Manners
27. April 2018, 19:00 - 20:30
All films I selected are built on brilliant cinematography, I picked them from my professional filmmaker’s point of view. And organized them according to the psychology of the creator. All artists have secret BAD HABITS, and only some of them are able to show GOOD MANNERS. As you know, until now, not one animator was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to art. It is a truly harsh programme, speaking the terrifying truth about never existing tragedies and dilemmas. The ability to transmit to the audience a strong emotion through the art of animation is a powerful weapon. For the audience it means you could kill or get killed, and feel the pain. You could enter the door to the filmmaker’s mind and take a virtual reality-trip to the world created by her or him. I believe in film, and the power of universal cinematographic language. And I hope you will enjoy the Festival and the Best of Animation programme as much as I do.Olga PärnFilmmaker, Tallinn
