#fairspeech – Because hate is not an opinion

Workshop on the Topic Hate Speech on the InternetThe one-day workshop #fairspeech offers an intensive look at the topic of hate speech using the example of sexism in video games. In the first learning module “Understanding”, you will gain insights into the structure and creation of hate comments and the reasons and consequences for those affected. In the second module “Reacting”, we look at concrete ways to react to hate speech both online and from a legal perspective. The workshop is meant for people interested in disseminating this in their teaching and for members of regional higher education institutions – both students and employees. The #fairspeech workshop is a cooperation project between the Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart with the Internationaler Bund (IB), which has assisted the Festival as its exclusive partner in the area of social and educational work for many years. With almost 14,000 employees, the Internationaler Bund (IB) is one of the largest service providers in the area of youth, social and educational work in Germany.
