From actual event to animation screenplay – “Die Reise des Elefanten Soliman”

When Soliman the elephant crossed the Alps in 1550, he had already travelled around the world. Born in Sri Lanka, shipped to Portugal, he was a gift for the Austrian Emperor. Soliman died in Vienna just a year after his arrival. People were touched by his story told in books, exhibitions and stage plays. And in a feature film?
