Loving Vincent: How to animate 65,000 oil paintings into an Oscar-nominated feature
26. April 2018, 10:00 - 12:00
The first fully oil-painted feature film in film history originated from an idea for a short film. Ten years and 65,000 paintings later, the Polish-British co-production has won the European Film Award and been nominated for a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and an Oscar. The homage to Vincent van Gogh was directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, and created in painstaking handiwork with the help of 125 artists. Producer Sean Bobbitt describes the journey from idea to prize-winning film.Presented by: Sean Bobbittin cooperation with: Creative Europe Desk München, France und Poland
