Workshop Discussion: Steegmüller Skulpturen
28. April 2018, 12:30 - 15:30
From lifelike sculptures and figures to animatronics, portraits and decors of all styles, sizes, and in any number – Steegmüller Skulpturen offers it all. Their creations can be seen in films for cinema and TV, in commercials, leisure parks and stage shows of famous bands. From their own or a given design, the company builds custom-made creatures, high-quality objects of art, and entire worlds. They also make masks for the stage and films, customised to fit the wearer‘s face and body. In his spare time, Jörg Steegmüller faithfully reproduces “Star Wars” characters. For many years already, he has been on friendly terms with Nick Maley, and assisted him in his work on the new Yoda. The workshop discussion offers participants an exciting look behind the scenes and insights into the various work techniques and the current “Jim Knopf” project. Visitors also get to see Chewbacca, C-3PO, Darth Vader, several Stormtroopers, Stefan Raab, Verona Pooth and Captain Hook.
