Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture of ITFS and FMX, is the only German co-production and financing marketplace event which is focused exclusively on animation. At APD, German and international producers present their films, series, games and cross-media projects to potential co-production partners, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, funders and investors in a series of fruitful one-to-one meetings.
51 projects from 22 countries have been selected for APD 2021. All meetings will take place via a central online platform as video meetings.
Separate accreditation is required for participation in APD.
APD Conference
An essential element of Animation Production Days is its conference which examines new trends and challenges in the animation industry. In the first part of the Conference – Enable! Case Studies and Market Trends (Thu, 6 May, 15:00 – 16:30 CET) – producers who have forged new paths in the development, production or financing of their projects share their experiences. In the Conference’s second section, the Content Briefing Session (Fri, 7 May, 11:30 – 13:00 CET), representatives from German and international TV channels and streamers will outline their programming needs and strategies with regards to animated content.
