The programme is put together in cooperation with Tricks for Kids curator Iris Loos (vhs Stuttgart – Treffpunkt Kinder).

Adventure, fun and excitement await you at the international selection of cutting-edge animated feature films we have put together for you in the AniMovie Kids series. The winning film will be chosen on Sunday at the closing gala of the ITFS.

With the free ITFS live stream, the ITFS brings the Schlossplatz Open Air to your home screen. It can be streamed on the already established platform OnlineFestival.ITFS.de. The daily family programme from 2 – 5 pm will feature short and long films, live interviews and special programmes for the whole family.

For all those who want to really get to grips with animated film: On three days of the festival week in five modules that build on each other, children from the age of 11 produce a stop-motion film in a live webinar with the support of professionals from the various branches of animated film production. Their own characters are developed and drawn, film footage is created and set to music, and visual effects are added for the finishing touch.
Participation fee: 35 € (incl. access to the TfK award ceremony in live stream).
Kinder-Trickfilmakademie
In der Onlineausgabe des ITFS 2020 Jahr fand auch die Kinder-Trickfilmakademie online statt. In fünf aufeinanderfolgenden Webinaren haben Profis aus den verschiedenen Sparten der Animationsfilmproduktion vorgestellt, wie ein eigener Trickfilm entsteht.
Zahlreiche kleinen Filmemacher*innen haben uns im Anschluss ihre selbst produzierten Trickfilme geschickt. Die besten haben es in unseren Film geschafft.

GameZone Kids
Let your play instinct run free: at GameZone Kids – supervised by media educators of ComputerSpielSchule Stuttgart, Stuttgarter Jugendhaus Gesellschaft, Mobilen Medienschule Stuttgart Ost and Merz Akademie Stuttgart – children between 6 and 14 years of age can play entertaining but also educational games with family and friends on a daily basis. From current consoles to VR headsets – it’s all available to be tried and tested. In addition, the media experts are available for frank discussions and creative workshops.

Animal documentaries, film scenes and reports – Mobile Medienschule Stuttgart-Ost and ComputerSpielSchule Stuttgart invite you to a film workshop on the block-based game Minetest. Our offer on Wednesday revolves around the topic of filming and being filmed. Together we will build sets and stand in front of the camera as reporters or behind the
camera as directors. Become part of the film crew and immerse yourself in the Minetest world!

Every Friday, ComputerSpielSchule Stuttgart, in cooperation with
Mobile Medienschule Stuttgart-Ost, organises an open leisure activity
for young people on the block-based game Minetest. As part of ITFS
2021, a special event will be offered this Friday in which participants
will collaboratively plan and implement the construction of a building
in detail. The highlight: the construction will be filmed, and the building
process will be presented in time-lapse mode. We look forward to your
participation!

Online Professional Workshops
Our workshops invite you to join in. In the comic workshop, you will learn how to tell stories with pictures, in animation workshops you will create your own stop motion videos and in the sound design workshop you will experiment with sound recordings and sounds. All workshops take place online as live webinars.
Comic Workshop

This workshop provides an introduction to storytelling in pictures with or without text. The focus will be on planning, structure and exercises in the production of
of drawn stories or sequences, page layouts and figures.

Animation workshop

Participants will create a virtual animated film together. An animated film set, which will be sent to you after registration, will help you to do this.
You will need: Computer, laptop, or tablet (with camera and microphone) for the video conference. A tablet or smartphone with the app “Stop Motion Studio” for the animated film production.
The workshop runs via Zoom. You will receive the access link with the registration confirmation.

Mini-Oper
Mi, 05.05 + Do, 06.05 // 15-17 Uhr // von 10-16 Jahren
Die Handlung kompliziert, die Namen unaussprechlich, die Plot-Twists abenteuerlich! In der Oper kann man die Geschichte vor lauter Musik schon mal aus den Augen verlieren. Dafür hat das JOiN gemeinsam mit Kindern und Jugendlichen das Format Mini-Oper erfunden. Die Handlung wird dafür kurz zusammengefasst und mit Materialien aus der Originalproduktion der Staatsoper unterhaltsam in einen Stop-Motion-Film gepackt. Schnell, kompakt und handgemacht – als Vorbereitung auf den virtuellen Opernbesuch oder als kleiner Opernsnack für zwischendurch!
In diesem Workshop wird eine Mini-Oper zum Dschungelbuch erstellt.

Stop-Motion

Lieblingsfiguren und Gegenstände wie von Zauberhand bewegen lassen: Nach einer kurzen Einführung in die Stop-Motion-App überlegen sich die Teilnehmenden eine kleine Handlung, die sie mit Figuren und Gegenständen in einem eigenen kleinen Trickfilm umsetzen.
Benötigt werden: Computer oder Laptop, ein Smartphone oder Tablet mit integrierter Kamera, ein Stativ (falls vorhanden), Figuren und Gegenstände Deiner Wahl. Für die jüngeren Teilnehmer*innen einen Erwachsenen, der assistiert.
Teilnahmegebühr: 7,00 Euro
Der Workshop läuft über Zoom. Der Zugangslink kommt mit der Anmeldebestätigung.
Sounddesign

Mit Sound herumexperimentieren, eine echte Tonspur betrachten und mit eigenen Tonaufnahmen kreativ werden… Egal ob Musik, Geräusche oder Sprache – nach einem Software-Crashkurs bekommen die Teilnehmenden grundsätzliche Ideen vermittelt und werden schließlich selbst zu Sounddesignern.
Benötigt werden: PC oder Laptop, Headset oder sonstige Aufnahmemöglichkeit, sowie
die kostenlose Audio-Software „ Audacity“.
