Painterly impressions of the horse’s silhouette, its springy movements, the shape of the head, stallions fighting. In addition to the director’s own animation, he presents studies of the horse by Leonardo da Vinci, drawings by Pablo Picasso, Saul Steinberg and others, but also mythological figures such as a centaur and a pegasus. He also shows how Japanese, Chinese and Paleolithic artists painted horses.
