Based on the novel by Cornelia Funke, this international co-production follows a silver dragon, a forest goblin and a young boy on a globe-spanning adventure. The making of the film combined European storytelling with high-end CGI production pipelines across multiple studios. From early concept art and creature design to complex animation and atmospheric effects, the team focused on creating emotional performances and achieving cinematic scale while tickling out the warmth and humor of the book.
