Panel: Shaping the Future
Shaping the future – What skills will still be needed in animation?
What basic skills and educational pathways in the field of animation remain relevant today, considering the current industry demands and the requirements of freelance work in particular? The panel touches on topics of innovation, the impact of AI and image-generating technologies, and the question of just how closely education and professional practice in the animation sector should be intertwined.
Furthermore, the rapid development of artificial intelligence is not only changing the production processes of creative work, but also how the next generation of animation artists are trained. In what ways can this training be reimagined as a result? What does the industry truly need – can and should teaching even try to keep up with this rapid development?
The panel is aimed at teachers, students, and creative professionals, who are actively engaged with the opportunities and challenges of AI and technology in animation – critically, practically, and with an eye on the future of education and practice.
The panel will be conducted entirely in German.
