The Illusionist

A small, dusty theatre in Paris: there, a man with a touch of grey in his hair performs his sleight-of-hand tricks as a stage magician. One day, he takes his hat and sets off on a grand tour of the British Isles. And there he meets Alice. The girl from a Scottish island is fascinated by the magic tricks and follows the illusionist all the way to Edinburgh. But in order to preserve the girl’s belief in real magic, the hapless magician finds himself in increasingly undignified situations. Soon, he sees only one way out: Alice must learn the truth.
