The exhibition „Jenseits der Sprache“ („Beyond Language”) presents four positions of contemporary animated media art at the juncture of abstraction and figuration. In the context of the Festival of Animated Film’s concentration “Animated Abstracts,” the four artists Thorsten Fleisch, Max Hattler, Michel Klöfkorn, and Robert Seidel show very different artistic approaches ranging from abstraction to material exploration and film subversion to digital expressionism. All the works are united in their search for new visual forms and possibilities.
