If you want to make your own animated film, create breathtaking visual effects or develop an interactive experience, you’re in good hands at the Institute of Animation. The Institute offers students with a concentration on Animation and Interactive Media subject-specific training and individual content supervision with state-of-the-art software and hardware technology. After completing the two-year basic study period together with colleagues from all subjects, the Institute’s students can concentrate on their third-year and diploma projects during the 2.5-year project period. During this phase, interdisciplinary work in a team as well as co-operation with the research and development department are strongly encouraged. The Institute of Animation views itself as an education institution oriented on the practice. That is why the curriculum is part of a constantly expanding network of internationally renowned guest instructors, partners from the private sector, leading national and international film academies, and speakers from the FMX, International Conference on Animation, Effects, VR, Games and Transmedia, all of which offer students important networking and career opportunities. The Institute of Animation’s alumni are in high demand – even their diploma projects have had great success at large festivals.
