BEST OF TRICKS FOR KIDS – THE ITFS CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL ON TOUR
Tricks for Kids is the children’s film festival of the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS). It invites audiences to go on an international journey through the magical world of animated film, offers plenty of animated film fun, and presents the latest animated short and feature-length films for children and families in the presence of directors. The film programme is complemented by exciting hands-on activities and workshops. The GameZone Kids gives children the opportunity to discover and play new, animated games. Best of Tricks for Kids screens a selection of beautiful children’s short films which delighted audiences and particularly our children’s jury at ITFS 2018. It is a colourful and imaginative mix of amusing and serious, entertaining and touching stories: A little girl and an elderly lady looking for an escaped bird are in for surprises and have adventures together in the urban jungle of New York, a rebellious ant succeeds in stirring up the well-regulated ant colony, a small man becomes the best friend of a blind man by helping him discover the world through music, while a lumberjack, three sheep and various forest dwellers make the strangest efforts to defy the harsh Russian winter … The films have no dialogue and are recommended for children aged 4 years
and older.
