Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania)

The Animation programme in the Photography and Media Arts Department of Vilnius Academy of Arts is to educate artists to be able to make deep insights into methods of animation expression and use them in various artistic strategies. It is the only university type bachelor programme in Lithuania that helps integrate a wide spectre of animation art forms, techniques and technologies into artistic creation. The programme is oriented towards art culture, when changes for animated film language are sought by considering innovative technologies and contemporary art tendencies.Students gain knowledge of the history and theory of art, understanding of contemporary media and animation art context, learn to define the field of their creative interests, formulate artistic goals and reasonably choose the mediums to implement the ideas.
