FMX – Film & Media Exchange (May 3-6, 2022)
Every spring, running at the same time as the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS), FMX – Film & Media Exchange attracts the international professional audience to Stuttgart. In 2022, the first ever hybrid edition of FMX will take place from May 3-6, 2022.
FMX Hybrid Edition: Online Exclusive Program
For the 26th edition of FMX, the community will have the opportunity to experience FMX 2022 both on site and online. FMX is excited that we will not only offer an exceptional program to people who will attend in person, but also to the community worldwide:
On May 3-5, FMX will open its doors in Stuttgart’s Haus der Wirtschaft with an elaborate program and plenty of networking possibilities on site.
On May 6, a high-class online program will feature multiple tracks that will be exclusive to the virtual day of FMX 2022. Additionally, the online sessions will be available via video on demand until May 31, 2022.

For more than a century, creativity and technology have been challenging each other to deliver ever more exciting and efficient ways to tell stories on screens.
With the evolution of virtual production, realtime, remote and virtual workflows have increasingly improved collaboration and flexibility on the most ambitious projects. Accelerated by the global pandemic, projects of all sizes are now embracing iterative realtime workflows over the traditional linear model.
FMX 2022 will look at people and projects that are further developing and democratizing media & entertainment production, changing the game in unprecedented ways.
