Fernanda Caicedo was born in Ecuador and lives and studies in Weimar. Her film ‘Wind Whisperer’ running in the Young Animation competition is about the life of a singing cicada. In her workshop on the theme of European identity, Fernanda Caicedo shows children and young people the basics of stop motion animation with two motion layers. Together, participants make short films about characters representing the diversity of coexisting cultures and identities that make Europe a diverse place.
