Best of Stop Motion 2: Personally Politicized Puppets

Focus

Stop motion, especially in its forms of puppet and object animation, has a long tradition of providing allegories, contextualizing, and addressing important issues, particularly subjects of political debates. Frequently used as a tool of propaganda and advertising, this technique can also come in handy for those who seek to subvert the dominant status quo. With the aim to be broad and hopefully thought-provoking, this programme exposes the struggles against censorship, tensions across the restrained sexual spectrum and destruction caused by colonial systems, shedding light on our history as well as current issues.
