Exhibition: Hunting – Winner of Lotte Reiniger Promotion Award 2025
The ITFS e. V. Booster Club presents a look behind-the-scenes of the stop-motion film “HUNTING” by Lea Favre, winner of the “Lotte Reiniger Promotion Award for Animated Film” (Student Competition) ITFS 2025.
The exhibited figures, film set pieces, props, and sketches offer insights into the making of a stop-motion film and the artistic creative process of director Lea Favre. In her film, she skillfully combines a relevant, somber theme with compelling storytelling and imagery and characters that are partly classical and partly abstract.
Lea Favre was born in 1997 in Sion (Switzerland). In 2020, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in both History and Aesthetics of Cinema and History of Art at UNIL (University of Lausanne), followed in 2024 by a Bachelor’s degree in live action Filmmaking/Directing at ECAL (Lausanne School of Art). She is now working part-time as a production assistant at Hélium Films in Lausanne, driven by a strong interest in animation.
