Exhibition: It’s Just a Whole

The short film “It’s Just a Whole” won the ‘Student Competition’ category at the
ITFS 2024.
At this year’s festival, analog excerpts, images and materials from the film can be seen as
part of a small exhibition in the ‘White Noise’ bar, offering a different
perspective on the creative processes and images of artistic animated film. Presented by the Förderverein Internationales Trickfilmfestival Stuttgart e.V.

About the filmmaker:
Born in 1998 in Paris, Bianca Scali is an animation film director who graduated from the
Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2023. During and aside from her studies, she
has directed a few short films. Simple lines, minimalistic gestures, mixed
media and techniques are what define her style the most. Photography, digital
and traditional animation, paper, textures 1 or analog processes are some of
the many media Bianca Scali enjoys mixing in her films.
