Studio Presentation: Maurfilm & Zorobabel

Maurfilm — nominated for the 2026 Cartoon Movie Tributes — is one of the leading animation producers in the Czech Republic, internationally recognized for its auteur-driven stop-motion and 2D films. Their feature stop-motion film “Tales from the Magic Garden” premiered at Annecy Festival and received an European Film Award nomination. The short film “Daughter” was nominated for an Academy Award® and won the Cristal Award and the Children’s Jury Award at Annecy. Maurfilm combines a strong tradition of handcrafted animation with bold contemporary storytelling. At ITFS the studio presents its newest slate of animated projects currently in development and production.
