Workshop Talk: Nominees of the German Animation Screenplay Award

This workshop talk offers a unique opportunity to meet the nominees of this year’s German Animation Screenplay Award. Jørn Precht, screenwriter, novelist, and Professor of Storytelling and Preproduction for Computer Animation at Stuttgart Media University (HdM), will host a conversation with the nominated writers about their screenplays and creative processes. Among the guests are writer Lisa Fechner; producer Peter Keydel (Fräulein Dezember und die Mondscheinbande); writers Jens Opatz, Matthias Drescher (Nessie Junior) and John Chambers (The School of Villains); as well as Sophia Bierend and Florens Huhn (Treasure Island). Special guests include producer Sonja Ewers and writer-director Steve Hudson, whose screenplay for the film “Stitch Head” won the German Animation Screenplay Award at ITFS in 2020.
