Wall of Animation 2 – Augmented Reality

The Breuninger storefront directly on Stuttgart Marktplatz will have the focus on ITFS again this year. During the festival week, there is much to be discovered here, and perhaps even some old acquaintances to be met. Come round, bring your Smartphone and let yourself be surprised about who is waiting for you in between the real and the digital world. In 2017, the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) will go one step further and feature augmented – a kind of virtual reality – on the Wall of Animation. The facade will come alive with characters and elements of the ITFS festival theme 2017. Visitors can scan a QR code with their mobile devices and are then directed to the augmented reality application, where they can directly watch the characters in a playful way. Those who want to get more deeply involved can play a game and look for ITFS-Trixi in between all the pirates. Who clicks fast may win a prize which can be claimed directly at the Breuninger department store. The project was developed together with ITFS cooperation partner Breuninger and studios LAVA labs (Düsseldorf / S tuttgart) and Lightshape (Stuttgart). The studios will also be represented at the ITFS to introduce themselves and their project in a joint studio presentation.
