Retrospective Show „German Animation for Kids“, presented by AG Animationsfilm

German animated film – whether it’s on television, in the cinema or at festivals – is extremely diverse. The industry behind the films is just as varied. Authors, designers, animators, engineers, producers, television staff, supporters, media politicians, university lecturers – what unites them all is their passion for good animation. But they also tend to stay within their own circles. That’s where the national exhibition by the working group Animated Film comes in. Without selection obstacles like at festivals or the pressure of having to make a pitch, the event aims to contribute to better networks and transparency. Good stories, original manuscripts and project ideas are the focus. What is familiar mixes with the new. Besides the presentation, dialogue is especially important. Artists meet businesspeople, editors meet politicians, newcomers meet old hands and in the ideal case, everyone returns home with new ideas and a good feeling for what is going on in the German children’s animation industry.
