Festival Partners

EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG

EnBW is transforming itself from a conventional energy company into a strong partner for energy and infrastructure. In the process, we are linking the transport sector with the energy and telecommunications world, for example, as part of the development of cities and districts oriented towards citizens. We accept our responsibility for the climate and are playing an active role in shaping the future of energy, which is why we are continuing to push forward the expansion of renewable energies, will remove our nuclear power plants from the grid by 2022 at the latest and have registered around 40% of our coal power plants for decommissioning since 2013. Our grid subsidiaries are ensuring that renewable energies are integrated into the electricity grid and are accelerating the development of so-called smart grids at the same time. Amongst other things, they are thus ensuring that even more renewable power plants can be connected to the grid in the future. Previously separate infrastructures such as those for energy, telecommunications and transport are beginning to converge due to digitalisation. This is why we aim to grow in this market of the future. We are already combining solar power plants with home storage systems for our customers today and enabling them to use this energy in their e-cars. We are integrating these types of solutions, as well as systems for public safety, traffic management and broadband technology, into liveable and sustainable city districts.

EnBW hopes you enjoy the diverse entertainment

Under the motto “Creating*Diversity,” the 28th edition of the International Festival of Animated Film is also a very special event for us. Against the background of the ongoing coronavirus crisis and the associated restrictions to our lives, we are especially delighted to make our contribution to the promotion of culture as a sponsor and above all to support the diverse inspiring events and workshops for children at home.

In this spirit: #CreatingDiversity, the best of health and have an enjoyable time at the online festival.

scoyo

scoyo online learning game and for kids, parents and teachers

We created an online learning game tool for kids with many games focusing on the key areas of the school curriculum for German-speaking countries from grade 1 to 7.

By entering our virtual world, kids will get to know our characters throughout their journey and experience tricky adventures with them in interactive and animated short stories. However, by taking those educational adventures the kids are supported by motivational feedback, can be rewarded with scoring points, and can even collect a nice new outfit for their own avatar. But the scoyo learning worlds are not just about games, it’s about learning – even though it won’t feel like it.

scoyo offers the entertainment factor kids expect from games but still guarantees a valuable and educational screen time. Gamification meets Storytelling – a new way for increased motivation and independent learning.

For teachers is scoyo free to use during lessons – forever. Make your lessons enjoyable with scoyo and know always what your students are doing and what they must practice more.

Many of us thought that this pandemic would not especially affect the animation industry, whose workers and artists often do their work from home. But it is doing it: here in the Basque Country there are productions that have stopped and although some studios and schools continue to work online, something is missing, something that is always essential for the animation community: the human contact. What the festivals guarantee and what helps to face the solitary work in front of the screen.

With over 16,000 visitors annually, the French Film Festival is a successful public festival that builds cultural bridges between Germany and the French-speaking countries beyond the medium of film with an attractive supporting programme and numerous guests from all over the world. For many years, the FFT has been highly regarded by the international film industry thanks to the awarding of attractive film prizes. The festival has thus established itself above all as a springboard for young, as yet undiscovered francophone cinema. The International Competition and the French Competition enable the audience to see the latest productions promptly in a stimulating festival atmosphere and to discuss them with the guests.

The London International Animation Festival proudly showcases the whole spectrum of creative animation, showing that animation is for everyone. Founded in 2003, LIAF aims to dispel the popular misconception that animation is just cartoons for kids by screening the broadest possible range of intelligent, entertaining and provocative current films on offer from all around the world as well as retrospectives and specialised sessions from countries and animators who don’t normally elicit such attention.

O!PLA Festival (existing from 2013) is the largest animation film festival in Poland, with almost 22.000 Jury members (only viewers), almost 140 festival venues located between the Baltic Sea and the Tatra Mountains, presenting more than 100. shorts each year, divided into 9 categories – these numbers briefly outline the specifics of the most unique and completely grassroots biggest Polish celebration of animated film. O!PLA was the first film festival in Poland reorganized themselves during quarantine, and start to be on-line. The quarantine gave O!PLA a lot of inspiration. Thanks to an online existence, the festival could reach more people, not only from Poland. People could watch and vote online. We inaugurated with the new cycle „O!PLA LIVE, but from home…” , where I meet with the directors/animators/screenwriters/musicians and talk about the process of creation. This is one of the most important positive effects of the pandemic, paradoxically.
