Tricks for Kids

The 28th ITFS takes place online only this year. Animation and games fans from all over Germany have the chance to participate live and enjoy the colourful Tricks for Kids programme from the comfort of their sofa on OnlineFestival.ITFS.de. And best of all, the ONLINE+ films will be available in the media library until May 16, 2021. We have once again put together the imaginative programme and the great hands-on offers together with our Tricks for Kids curator Iris Loos (vhs Stuttgart – Treffpunkt Kinder). And again, the L-Bank Baden-Württemberg is providing substantial support to the ITFS children’s and family programme.

Tricks for Kids Award Ceremony

Our children‘s jury will present the winning film from the Tricks for Kids short film competition. The magical host Alexander Merk accompanies the children’s jury and the audience with his magic tricks through the colourful animated film show.

Generation Enchanted World – Opera and Animation, Competence and Resistance

A discussion between Elena Tzavara (Artistic Director JOiN – Junge Oper im Nord), Schorsch Kamerun (director & musician) and Ulrich Wegenast (Artistic Managing Director of ITFS) on workshop work with young people in the field of opera & animation accompanying the production “Verzauberte Welt” of Staatsoper Stuttgart.

Workshops

Our workshops invite you to join in. In the comic workshop, you will learn how to tell stories with pictures, in animation workshops you will create your own stop motion videos and in the sound design workshop you will experiment with sound recordings and sounds. All workshops take place online as live webinars.
