Best of Animation 4 – Love and Pain
28. April , 19:00 - 20:30
All films I selected are built on brilliant cinematography, I picked them from my professional filmmaker’s point of view. And organized them according to the psychology of the creator.Tension. That’s what a good director is searching for. And if you don’t talk about LOVE AND PAIN there is no tension in your film. There are a thousand types of separation and loss. And the radial centre of our world is love. The ability to transmit to the audience a strong emotion through the art of animation is a powerful weapon. For the audience it means you could kill or get killed, and feel the pain. You could enter the door to the filmmaker’s mind and take a virtual reality-trip to the world created by her or him. I believe in film, and the power of universal cinematographic language. And I hope you will enjoy the Festival and the Best of Animation programme as much as I do.Olga PärnFilmmaker, Tallinn
